Mr. Brittain uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as his preferred default treatment method, due to the science supporting CBT as an effective treatment method. Some patients prefer to engage in Catharsis therapy, which simply means that they prefer to process information at their own pace and on topics that they need to address at the time. Mr. Brittain also coordinates care with other providers. This includes communicating, with the patient’s permission, with the the patient’s physician to coordinate medication management and other health concerns. Coordination of care may also include researching other providers who are available, and make coordinated treatment plans with them as appropriate.
