Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) 

Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are anxiety conditions. Acute trauma reactions don’t necessarily lead to PTSD, but they can. I typically suggest that patients develop a personalized plan to deal with intrusive memories, and adjust one’s environment accordingly. I am trained in the Mitchell Model of Critical Incident Stress Management, and have provided on-site debriefings for such incidents as death on construction sites/worksites, mass-layoff of employees, and training for firefighters.
